Uyo Urban Stakeholders Sensitize citizens on Civil Responsibility
Stakeholders from Uyo Urban Ward 6 have sensitized PDP faithfuls in the area on the need to be civilly prepared for the 2023 elections.
The meeting which was held at the residence of Ime Uwah, SSA to Governor Emmanuel on Marketing and Brand Management; had in attendance political leaders and party faithfuls from the 9 villages making up Ward 7 and 8 which is the defunct Ward 6.
Addressing the party faithfuls, Mr. Uwah appreciated their commitment and zeal to the party and the Governor Emmanuel-led administration.
He however charged them to remain civilly committed by ensuring that they participate in the ongoing Voters’ registration exercise and do the necessary documentations that will guarantee their ownership of a Voter’s Card for the forthcoming election.
The former Uyo urban ward 6 is known to be one of the wards in Uyo with the largest number of voters, and a major contributor to the success of every elections won by the people’s democratic party in the local government.
The event which featured the inauguration of coordinators across the 43 units and 9 villages in the Ward also had in attendance; Mr David Sergeant,( Utang Akwa Ibom ), Rev’d Richard Peters SA to the governor on Media, Hon Hilary Udi , councillor representing ward ward 7, Hon Akan Eyo , Councillor representing ward 8.
