The Special Assistant to Governor Udom Emmanuel on Entertainment, Mr. David Sergeant, popularly known as Utang Akwa Ibom, has urged comedians in the State to be more creative in their comedy play.

He said this on Tuesday, April 9, at the homecoming reception held in hour of Sir James, another comedian who just returned from his trip to Rwanda.

The event which brought together Akwa Ibom entertainers featured a moment of sober reflections for the artistes who took turns to attest to the humility and magnanimity of the Governor’s aide who turned up for the gathering despite the short notice.

In his remark, Utang Akwa Ibom charged his colleagues to put in the best in their craft, saying that it will open doors for them like it did for him. He commended Comedian Skippo (the host) for his wisdom in establishing a business to support his family and donated cartons of premium quality tiles to support the beautification of the fun spot.

In their separate responses, Skippo and wife expressed gratitude to Utang Akwa Ibom and Comedian Sir James for the love shown their family over the years.

The celebrant, Sir James, in his vote of thanks, appreciated the leadership qualities of Utang Akwa Ibom in coordinating entertainers in the state in the last four years. He commended Skippo and pledged the unalloyed support of comedians in the state to his office and to the administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel.
