Two Corps members serving in Katsina State have died in a ghastly motor accident.

The incident which occurred on Saturday, August 19, in Gobirawa village along Katsina – Kankara road in Katsina State saw the victims die at the spot of the accident.

Platinum.ng gathered that the corps members, a male from Anambra and a female from Akwa Ibom state, were travelling alongside their colleagues in a vehicle to attend a wedding in Funtua when the accident happened.

Speaking with the state Governor, Masari, who visited the scene of the event, one of the surviving corps members said that the accident was as a result of brakes failure during the heavy downpour the same day.

“The driver of the vehicle with the inscription ‘Corpers For Christ’ tried applying brakes but the bus swerved and hit a nearby tree”, an eyewitness said.

The Governor in his reaction directed that the surviving corps members be given administered first aid treatment, and the corpses conveyed to the state capital.
