The Uyo Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, (UYOCCIMA) is set for her Annual General Meeting scheduled to hold on Tuesday, February 25, 2020.

Addressing Journalists during a press briefing in Uyo, the UYOCCIMA President, Obong Simeon Umoette said the event will take place at Good Fortune Hotel in Ewet Housing Estate Uyo by 10am.

According to him, “The AGM will feature the appointment of the Auditor, presentation of the organization’s audited accounts and the election of officers into the chamber for the 2020/2021 tenure.”

He said the organization is expecting the executive council of the body and the entire members of the chamber to be present at the event to review the activities of the organization for the next two years.

Speaking further, Obong Umoette expressed appreciation to Governor Udom Emmanuel for recognizing the private sector.

He stated that private sector is the engine room of economic growth in the state and that the chamber is made up of credible business men that have so far reduced unemployment rate in the state and country at large.
