Court Grants Senator Abbo N5million Bail

The Senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial District, Elisha Abbo, has been granted bail by an Abuja Magistrate Court.

The Senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial District, Elisha Abbo, has been granted bail by an Abuja Magistrate Court.

Senator Abbo was granted a bail of N5million on Monday, July 7, after being arraigned by the Police in Abuja.

He was arrested by the Police on Wednesday, June 3, following an assault on a woman in a sex-toy shop in Abuja, and arraigned on Monday, July, 8 on a one-count of assault which he pleaded not guilty.

The alleged assault capturing the Senator in the act was recorded by the Close Circuit Television (CCTV) camera installed in the shop and was shared on social media.

Following his arraignment, he was granted a N5million bail with sureties who must have verifiable addresses within the Federal Capital Territory.

The case has however been adjourned to July 22nd for further hearing.
