The Senator representing Abia South, Enyinnaya Abaribe, has emerged the Minority Leader of the 9th Senate.

Abaribe was announced Minority Leader at the meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which held on the night of Thursday, June 13, at National Chairman’s residence, Uche Secondus.

Senator Emmanuel Bwacha of Taraba South was returned as Deputy Minority Leader, while Senator Philips Aduda (FCT) was retained as the Minority Whip.

It would be recalled that the office of the Minority Leader was held by Senator Godswill Akpabio of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District, Akwa Ibom State, in the previous Senate
