The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship candidate in the 2019 elections in Lagos State, Mr. Jimi Agbaje, has refuted claims that he has dumped the Party for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Agbaje’s media aide, Mr. Felix Oboagwina, disclosed this on Wednesday, June 5 in Lagos.

Oboagwina said that the purported posts on social media about Agbaje joining the APC were all falsehood and deceptions, adding that Agbaje was too big to defect to another party.

“There is nothing like that, nothing like that at all. He is still in PDP; he has not defected.

“How can people say he has defected on social media? He is too big for that; he is in PDP,” Oboagwina said.

The rumored defection is said to have been incensed by the comment made by the former National Vice Chairman of the PDP, Chief Bode George, that Agbaje appears to have joined the APC.

George had mentioned that Agbaje had been part of the APC from the beginning, and that he failed the last election because ‘he thinks he knows it all’.
