With the increasing traffic congestion in Uyo, the capital city of Akwa Ibom, occasioned by the influx of people from neighboring states, Governor Udom Emmanuel has opened up new roads to decongest traffic and ease movement within the city centre.
The ongoing construction of the 3.5km dual carriage Ring Road II is a step in the right direction to correct this ill.
The Ring Road which is in furtherance of the road infrastructure development plan of government is also in fulfillment of Governor Emmanuel’s promise to link the capital city with communities for easy evacuation of goods and agricultural produce.
