…Matthew Ukpong Emerges Chairman
The National leadership of Inter-Party advisory council (IPAC) has inaugurated an interim management committee to help steer the activities of the organization pending the conduct of the Council’s election.
The National body of the organization under the leadership of Dr Leonard Nzenwa made this known on Thursday, July 16, in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
The mandate of the committee, according to the Chairman is to help seek stronger bond towards the actualization of common goals; foster unity and create an enabling environment for the conduct of its upcoming election.
The Chairman noted that no organization can succeed where there is rancour among its members, adding that they were in Akwa Ibom State to ensure harmony since parties involved have reached an understanding.
The Chairman urged the Interim Committee to discharge their duties diligently without fear or favour noting that the society will always serve as their watchdog, while assuring that the election will be conducted immediately after the upcoming Edo and Ondo State Gubernatorial election fixed later for the year.
On his part, the National Publicity Secretary, Agbor Major admonished leaders to always demonstrate leadership attributes by accommodating dissenting opinion.
In his remarks, the Interim Management Committee Chairman, Pastor Matthew Ukpong expressed appreciation to the national leadership of the body for the opportunity given them to serve and assured that the team will not disappoint IPAC and Nigerians.
