The Lagos State command of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has confirmed the return of 137 Nigerians from Libya on Thursday, June 20.
The returnees, consisting 9 children, 34 women and 94 men, have increased the number of Nigerian returnees from Libya to 12,457.
The Lagos State NEMA coordinator, Mr. Idris Muhammed, noted that the newest returnees “brings the total number of Assisted Voluntary Returnees from 10 different countries to 14,036 since April 2017, when the European Union and International Organisation for Migration special programme began”.

The returnees arrived the cargo wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, in a chartered flight by 8:30pm
