Tambuwal Attends Burial of 25 Persons Killed by Bandits in Sokoto

The Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal was on Sunday, June 9, at the funeral service of 25 members of 3 communities killed by bandits in Rabah Local Government area of the state, the previous day.

The Governor and his entourage later visited the bereaved families, alongside traditional rulers and security heads in the state after the burial which was held in Gandi.

It was gathered that the bandits attacked Kalhu, Tsage and Geeri communities on Saturday, June 8, and killed 25 persons in a sporadic shooting session.

They also made away with fleets of cattle and other valuable possessions.

The Governor, at the funeral promised the people of more measures to eradicate “such uncivilized and barbaric attacks”, while calling on members of the community to assist in providing useful information about how to track down the bandits.
