The former Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, has been sworn in Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Okorocha was sworn-in on Thursday, June 13, by the Senate President Ahmed Lawan.
During the inauguration of the 9th Senate on Tuesday, June 11, Okorocha, representing Imo West Senatorial District, was absent as he was yet to be presented his Certificate of Return by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

He was however given the certificate on Tuesday, after an Abuja High Court asked the INEC to release the certificate.
