The Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA) has gotten a new Head and others to help better its operations.
The New Chairman is Mr. Tunde Lemo, a former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) whose appointment as Head of the Agency was confirmed by the Senate on Wednesday, May 8, 2019.
Lemo’s confirmation was preceded by the adoption of the screening report by the Senate Committee on FERMA, which recommended his appointment and that of seven others for the board of the agency.
Others whose appointment were also confirmed are: Nurudeen Rafindadi, Managing Director, and Buba Abdullah, Babagana Aji, Shah Abdullah, Loretta Aniagolu, Mujaidu Dako and Vincent Kolawale as Executive Directors.
Following a thorough scrutiny of the persons involved, the Chairman of the committee, Senator Magnus Abe, noted that the panel found the nominees worthy of the appointments during their screening.
The lawmakers then considered and approved the recommendations.
