The Federal Government has declared Wednesday May 29 and Wednesday, June 12 as Public Holidays.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed said this on Monday, May 20, at the world press conference held in Abuja.

He stated that the official observation of June 12 as the new Democracy Day was in fulfilment of President Buhari’s declaration in 2018, while the old date, May 29, remains sacrosanct.
The World Press Conference which marks the beginning of activities for the President Buhari’s second-term inauguration, will be followed by a three-day National Youth Entrepreneurship Empowerment Summit, said the Minister.
