Uyo Chairman Receives A’Ibom Presidential Awardee, Promises Sponsorship of Postgraduate Studies

The Chairman of Uyo Local Government Area in Akwa Ibom State, Elder Imoh Okon has received Mr. Micheal Aniekan Akpan, a native of Ikot Eboro, Ikono Clan in Uyo, who emerged the Best All Round Corps Member in 2017 and was recently among the Corps members awarded by President Muhammadu Buhari, in Abuja.

The Chairman who did not conceal his joy congratulated the presidential awardee and charged him as an ambassador, to add value to the society at all times and stand out from the crowd.

While advising other youths of the state to model Mr. Akpan, Elder Okon advised them to develop virtues of hardwork and diligence in the attainment of excellence in their pursuits in life.

He also announced that the Council will sponsor the awardee through his current Postgraduate studies at the University of Uyo.
