The CEO of Visible Proof (men’s wear brand) and an indigene of Akwa Ibom, Mrs. Rebecca Ebong, has been named Africa’s Most Promising Woman for the year 2019.
Ebong defeated five other contestants, to emerge winner at this year’s Women’s Choice Awards Africa, hosted by the Global Ovations Limited in Accra, Ghana.
The event organizers, while presenting the Award, lauded Mrs Ebong for distinguishing herself in the Fashion and Design Industry and urged other young women in Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria to take a cue from her.
A Graduate of Marketing from the University of Calabar, Rebecca Ebong also holds a Masters Degree in the same field and doubles as a Chartered Marketer from the National Institute of Marketing as well as a Certified Customer Relations Executive.
Her outfit – Visible Proof fashion house – located at 468, Oron Road, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State; specializes on Luxury men’s wear; South-South attire, Agbada, Traditional Suits, Shirts and Trousers, as well as customised shoes, palm slippers, traditional shoes and caps.
Her business which was birthed in 2015 has waxed stronger, with clients cutting across the length and breadths of Nigeria. Visible Proof has styled Big Brother Naija’s 2018 Male Housemates, Lamode Magazine, high profiled African men, Nollywood Actors including Bolanle Ninolowa, Jim Iyke, Okon Lagos, Bishop Idahosha, among others.
The Women’s Choice Award is in collaboration with The Oprah Winfrey Network to honour women and men who advocate for the empowerment of girls and women, and others who get inspired from the works and services provided to empower women to be catalysts for creative solutions which fosters success in life, career and in business.
