A’Ibom Assembly Reiterates Commitment to People-oriented Motives

The Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly has reiterated its commitment to self-less service devoid of sentiments and tribalism.

The Speaker of the State House, Barr. Onofiok Luke stated this when the Dakkada Entrepreneurs Ambassadors League (DEAL) gave him the “Outstanding Speaker” award on Tuesday, April 30, at the conference room of the state House Complex.

The Speaker noted that although the 6th Assembly was fast on the path of exit; the incoming assembly would be encouraged to continue on the path of stabilizing the state’s business economy.

Assembly promised to pursue the enactment of laws against poverty, insecurity of businesses and lives, as well as economic prosperity.

Describing DEAL as a bridge between entrepreneurs and the State Governor’s capital development vision for the state, Luke appreciated the group for their foresight and support for the re-election of Governor Udom Emmanuel which he said is an indication of their want for continuation of economic growth and expansion of businesses across the state.

Aside the award, a certificate in honour of his enormous support to the successful conduct of the general elections in Akwa Ibom State was issued to the Speaker, and he was also inducted into DEAL Board of Trustees.

The Dakkada Entrepreneurs Ambassadors League was led by her Chairman and Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on Marketing and Brand Management, Mr Sam Edoho.
