House C’tte on Information Solicits Partnership with Press

The Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly Committee on Information has solicited for synergy and collaboration with the Fourth Estate of the Realm to enable effective reportage of legislative and oversight activities of the 7th Assembly.

Addressing members of the Press, Chairman of the Committee, Barr Aniefiok Dennis, said the 7th Assembly is prepared to perform its core function and mandate of improving the society, as well as representing the people of the state.

Dennis further made known the Assembly’s readiness to step up its duties in the area of dispensation, enacting legislations and resolutions to promote and fast track the completion agenda of the state government.

Moreso, the Assembly hopes to interface and engage a wide spectrum of stakeholders in the Akwa Ibom project towards a sustainable development of the state; encourage peoples’ participation in lawmaking processes, public hearings and step up it’s oversight functions to ensure efficiency in Ministries, Local Governments, Departments and Agencies.

Present at the briefing which held at the Assembly Complex were members of the Committee including: Rt Hon. Mark Esset, Rt Hon. Nse Essien, Hon. Kufre Edidem and Hon. Mfon Idung.
