The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, has appointed Elder. Effiong Edem Essien the new Head of the State Civil Service.
This was contained in a release signed by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Ekerette Udoh, on Friday, May 31.

Elder Udoh succeeds Mrs. Ekereobong Akpan who retired on Wednesday, May 29.

The release indicates that Elder Udoh is a Geologist from Ibesikpo Local Government Area, and was the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Works before his new appointment.
“He will be sworn in at a date to be determined”, the release reads in part.
Meanwhile, Governor Emmanuel has also approved the appointment of three new Permanent Secretaries in the State Civil Service. They are: Mr. Imo Bassey Inyang, Mr. Inyang Inyang Jameson and Mr. Effiong Edet Ekpeyong.
They will also be sworn in at a date to be determined.
