The Akwa Ibom State Government is set to unveil the Ibom Peace Monument in Uyo, the state capital.

Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon Orman Esin told newsmen in Uyo that the monument, strategically located along Airport road in Uyo is a signpost telling all visitors coming into the state that Akwa Ibom is a home of peace.

Esin said that the government has invested so much in security architecture and strategic partnerships to achieve lasting peace in the state and as such deserves to be marketed.

Hon Esin noted that Akwa Ibom State remains the safest Haven for investors because of its human and capital resources and the enabling environment required for businesses to thrive.

He urged Nigerians to see Akwa Ibom as their second home where they can relax to the warmth of nature, a hospitable people and irresistible delicacies.

The official unveiling of Ibom Peace Monument at Airport road, Uyo will take place on Friday 14th February 2020 by 10am.
