The Akwa Ibom State Commissioner of Information, Sir Charles Udoh has said that Ibom Air will break even as a multiple value chain business opportunity outlet in Akwa Ibom.

The Commissioner stated this on grounds that the state government had carried out an environmental scan on the aviation sector and benchmark international best practices before diving into the business.

Sir Charles Udoh made this known on Thursday, May 21 in Uyo, on a radio programme.

The State Government Spokesman said, Ibom Air which is the toast of the aviation industry in Nigeria has redefined the industry as it has blocked the gap which existed with its high service quality, timeliness, numerous flight schedules and mostly flying the youngest and safest aircraft in the skies.

Drawing inferences from thriving Government owned airlines such as those of Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Singapore, British airlines and the like, Sir Charles Udoh said, Ibom Air will also thrive because it is benchmarking the practices of these successful airlines.

Worthy of note is that the latest and fourth aircraft in the fleet of Ibom Air has the modern air filters which makes it defy all sort of particles including that of COVID-19.

“Even in this era of COVID-19, Ibom Air stands tall above the virus. The 4th aircraft we just received has the most modern air filters that defy all sort of particles. It is known as High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters”,  Sir Udoh said .

“There are also many opportunities in Ibom Air directly and indirectly. The airline needs suppliers of different materials needed in the aviation industry and even office workers in their different operational cities” he concluded.
