…Promises to Grade Roads in rural communities
…Why we are supporting Gov Emmanuel’s project
The Akwa Ibom State branch of the Earthmoving Equipment, Double Axel Truck Owner/Operators Association (EMEDATOA), is set to distribute educational materials to public schools in the state, in commemoration of its 10th Anniversary celebration.
Chairman of EMEDATOA, Comrade Edikan Iwe, noted that the distribution was to support the state government’s efforts at sustaining free, compulsory and qualitative education in Akwa Ibom.
Comrade Iwe who spoke ahead the Association’s 10-year Anniversary celebration, noted that Governor Emmanuel was being supported for his zest and commitment to the betterment of Akwa Ibom people.
He attested to the ingenuity of the Commissioner for Education, Professor Nse Essien, and that of the Special Assistant to the Governor on Education Monitoring, Mrs. Idongesit Etiebet, in distributing the materials evenly across board.
“EMEDATOA will also flag-off the surface-dressing of rural roads in Nsit Atai, Mkpat Enin and Itu Local Government Areas, to appreciate the recognition accorded them by the Commissioner for Economic Development and Ibom deep Seaport, Mr. Akan Okon; Chairperson, Nsit Atai Local Government Council, Hon. Emem Ibanga; and Chairman, Mkpat Enin Local Government Council, Hon. Ekanem Brown”, he hinted.
He commended the Education Commissioner and the aforementioned public office holders for “operating with an open-door policy”, which he said was the reason the Association trusts them and was ready to support the government of the day through their virtues.
“On Monday, we will commence the distribution of educational materials to schools across the three Senatorial districts of the state. Monday, November 25 will be for Eket Senatorial District; Tuesday, November 26 will be for Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District, while Wednesday, November 27 will be for Uyo Senatorial District”, he announced.
“On Thursday, November 28, we will flag-off rural road grading at Nsit Atai Local Government Area”.
“On Thursday, December 5, we will host a novelty football match at Community Comprehensive Secondary School, Four Towns Uyo”, he said.
The Association Boss was thankful to a number of business partners including Nsik Motors Nig. Ltd, Abaringo Nig. Ltd, Thriller Media Ltd, Diamond Key Services and Golden Shore International and Stone Graft Ltd, for their support, while calling for more collaboration with them and other companies/public office holders.
