South East Governors meet in Aso Rock

President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday was reported to have had a meeting behind closed doors with governors from the southeastern part of the country and the deputy Senate president, Ike Ekweremadu.

Reports have it that, the meeting started shortly after the governors arrived the State House around 4.07pm. Except for the Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha, the four other governors of the zone including Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi and Enugu were present at the meeting.

The meeting is said to have been convened for the purpose of discussing issues such as the second Niger bridge, the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu and the non-representation of the region in Nigeria’s security apparatus.
