President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the Acting Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar Adamu and Chief of Defence Staff, General Abayomi Gabriel Olonisakin, to investigate the killing of 26 people in Katsina State on Tuesday, May 21.
The President’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, said this on Wednesday, at the burial of the victims in Katsina.

He noted that the President was shocked at the attack and had ordered the Security Chiefs to immediately report findings of their investigation to him.
He conveyed the President’s condolences to the bereaved, their families and people of the state, praying Allah’s comfort on them.
The attack which was launched on three communities in Dan Musa and Faskari Local Government Areas of the State on Tuesday, is said to have been perpetrated by bandits on motorcycles.
The burial was attended by scores of residents, village and district heads within and outside Katsina state.
