President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday, April 18, signed the new minimum wage bill into law.
This is coming three weeks after the President received the final report of the Technical Advisory Committee on Implementation of the National Minimum Wage for Nigerian workers which he promised prompt implementation.
Platinum.ng had earlier reported that the House of Representatives had on January 29, approved N30, 000 as minimum wage for workers in the public and private sectors.
Similarly, the Senate on Tuesday, March 19, equally approved N30, 000 as minimum wage for workers in Nigeria.
With the signing of the bill into law, Nigerian workers are to expect increment in their monthly salary.
