Nsit Atai Council Boss Inspects Ongoing Work at Council Secretariat

On Friday, June 7, the Executive Chairman of Nsit Atai Local Government Council, Hon. Emem Ibanga, inspected the ongoing rehabilitation/massive renovation of the Council blocks including the sanitation and total cleanup of the Council Secretariat and its environs.

The Council Boss reiterated her commitment to the development of the Local Government Area, and thanked the Executive and Legislative Council, as well as NULGE for their unwavering support for her administration.

During the inspection, the Council Boss with her entourage visited the offices, the legislative block, Vice Chairman’s office and others, to ascertain the level of work done and equipment/facilities lacking in the offices.

She met with Councilors under the leadership of Hon. Ben Udo Ben and interacted with them to foster a robust working relationship in the Council.

In their separate remarks, leader of the Legislative Council, Hon. Ben Udo Ben, and Chairman of the Finance/Appropriation Committee, Hon. Victor Etim, commended the Chairperson’s pragmatic leadership style. They promised to work in consonance with her to ensure that more developments are brought to the Local Government Area.

They also thanked Mrs. Ibanga for giving the Council Secretariat a facelift through the massive renovation and total cleanup of the Council’s environment.

Speaking during the inspection, the Council’s Works Director, Engineer Offiong Bassey said that the ongoing rehabilitation/renovation was in phases and has had its first phase completed. “The second phase will include Painting, ceiling and tiling up of the place”, he noted.
