Okorocha Prepares to Quit, Sets 21-Member Transition Committee


Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has on Tuesday, April 23, set up a 21-member committee to see to the smooth transition of the state government in May.

The Governor, through his Chief Press Secretary, Sam Onwuemeodo, noted that the committee would be inaugurated alongside that of the Governor-elect, Emeka Ihedioha, on Thursday, May 1 including a tour of the Government House.

“the 21-person committee would work with the committee set up by the Governor-elect, Emeka Ihedioha, to ensure a hitch-free transition”, he said.

Among members of the committee are Mr. Mark Uchendu (chairman), Mrs. Adaora Ijezie, Professor Nnamdi Obiareri, Pastor Henrienta Jacobs, Emma Iwuanyanwu, Simeon Iwunze, Nkeiru Oluehi, Angela Uwakwem, and others.
