Ogun State Governor-Elect, Dapo Abiodun, has pledged to pursue a better working relationship with Lagos State and the Federal Government when he assumes office on May 29.
The governor-elect said this in a statement by his spokesperson, Remmy Hazzan, on Saturday, March 23, where he also promised to promote equity and fairness in his developmental initiatives when he assumes office.
Abiodun stated that his plan to form a synergy with both Lagos and the Federal Government would usher in uncommon growth on all fronts in Ogun State.
The intended synergy between the two South Western states on one hand, and between the state and the Federal Government, would catapult Ogun State to an enviable height in its developmental strides and in the political economy of Nigeria, Abiodun said.
He said, “More than ever before, we will pursue synergy with Lagos as well as with the Federal Government, coupled with our template of equity and fairness in our developmental initiatives. This, we believe, will usher in uncommon growth on all fronts.”
Meanwhile, Abiodun has commended the efforts of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government in the ongoing reconstruction of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
He also lauded the President on the ongoing construction of the Lagos-Abeokuta-Ibadan light rail project, among many other critical infrastructural interventions in the state.
The gov-elect described Vice President Yemi Osinbajo as a huge asset to Ogun State and the South-West.
