NPFL: Akwa United to unveil Mfon Udoh, Da Silva, ors today

Nigeria Professional Football League side, Akwa United Football Club of Uyo will this morning officially unveil her newly signed players at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

At the end of last season, the Promise Keepers released some of it playing and non-playing staff and have now contracted top quality professionals to join the team’s quest for success.

Some of the players expected to be unveiled this morning are, NPFL record goalscorer, Mfon Udoh, former Abia Warriors marksman, Ndifreke Effiong, Brazilian Alberico Da Silva, Emeka Atuloma and others on Friday 4th January, 2019.

The event is scheduled to begin by 10am at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.

According to the club’s media officer, Mfon Patrick, fans of the club as well as followers of the Nigerian Professional Football League are expected to witness the unveiling.

The release also indicates that the club will also officially present its new Anthem to the fans.

The two times Federation cup champions last season finished in second position, two points behind eventual winners, Lobi Stars in a twenty-team league table.   

Akwa United open their NPFL campaign at home to Elkanemi Warriors of Maiduguri on January 13th.
