Lawmaker Says Udom’s Victory has Saved A’Ibom from Economic Retardation

The member representing Ukanafun State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Hon. Otobong Akpan, has said that the decision of the citizens in voting in Governor Udom Emmanuel has saved the state from economic and political retardation.

Speaking to newsmen on Thursday, April 10, the Lawmaker noted that Akwa Ibomites chose peace and progress rather than its opposite.

Hon. Otobong Akpan enthused that Governor Emmanuel will deliver on yet-to be fulfilled promises and ongoing projects before the expiration of his second term tenure.

He called for the cooperation of Akwa Ibom people irrespective of political commitment, to assist the state government in making the state a cynosure of all eyes.

“Now that the elections are over, Akwa Ibom needs to move on with its normal developmental strides on all fronts. The completion agenda of the governor will give us more industries, better education, more road construction, improvement in the health sector, sports and many more. Please, let us support the governor because he means well for this State”, he said.
