Amidst tears and sorrows, the remains of late Kolade Johnson was on Friday, April 18, committed to mother Earth.
Accompanied by family and sympathizers, the corpse of the late Kolade arrived Atan Cemetery in Yaba, Lagos State where it was received by friends of the deceased who proceeded to the tomb for the laying.
Late Kolade Johnson, a father of one, was murdered on Sunday, 31 March, 2019, while viewing a football match by a former Police Officer, Olalekan Ogunyemi who has been dismissed from the Security Agency and currently facing prosecution.
Ministering at the Funeral Service, the officiating Minister, urged the attendees to uphold good morals worthy of emulation, and to desist from social vices that can destroy them.
Relatives of the deceased described him as a “gentleman to the core” and prayed that justice should soon take its place, while calling for a reform of the Police Force.
The family’s Solicitor, Wale Ademoyejo, who was at the event, expressed confidence that Kolade’s case will not be swept under the carpet.
