Traffic Wardens in Uyo Get Palliatives

In the early hours of Friday, May 22, 2020, Traffic Wardens in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital received relief packages from Hon. Ukai Emmanuel, Vice Chairman of Uyo Local Government Council.

Speaking to newsmen, Hon. Emmanuel commended the steadfastness, dedication and commitment of the traffic wardens in maintaining orderliness within the metropolitan city of Uyo.

He noted that the continuous decrease in traffic congestion in the state was as a result of dutifulness of the wardens whom he said have been effective in the discharge of their duties, adding that the State has recorded zero accidents within the city in the last few years, compared to what was obtainable previously.

He appreciated them with food items while urging them to continue in the efficient discharge of their duties.

Consequently, the Vice Chairman advised motorists and other road users to obey the directives of the uniform men to avoid accidents and other road hazards.
