Group Donates to Orphanage

Taking into cognisance the hard economic times and it’s effect on families, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) known as Voluntary Christian Missionary Team (VCMT) has supported Mfonabasi Orphanage in Ikot Oku Mfang, Abak, with food items and toiletries.

Making the presentation on Sunday, November 14, 2021, the donating team, led by its Coordinator, Vol. Udeme Effiong thanked the home for opening it doors to them and pleaded that they make judicious use of the items.

Presenting the items, Vol. Daniel Udofia told the home that the items were presented through the sacrificial donation of members.

“Despite the hard times, we’re able to eat and move on by God’s grace. So, we thought it necessary to also ensure that you people are supported in our little way”, he said.

Receiving the items, the Matron of the home, Mrs. Esther Monday Tom, together with one of the orphans appreciated and applauded the VCMT for being mindful of them.

“You people make us so happy and satisfied whenever you visit “, she said.

They prayed God’s blessings, protection, providence and abundance on the team, while calling on others to reciprocate VCMT’s gesture.

VCMT is a body of likeminded individuals of the Church of Christ, concerned about humanitarian deeds and acts of service.
