Governor Emmanuel to Declare open African Church 2021 Conference
The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Udom Emmanuel is among the Special guests expected at the 2021 Annual Conference of the African Church.
This was contained in a release signed by Rt Hon Justin Ekong, Cathedral People’s Warden/National Publicity Secretary of the Church.
The Conference which is themed: “for with God all things are possible, is scheduled to hold at St Stephen’s Cathedral, 25 Wellington Bassey way, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, from Tuesday 4th – Sunday 9th of April 2021.
The Release informs that the Conference will be presided over by Primate of the African Church, His Eminence, Dr. Emmanuel Udofia and attended by Lay Presidents, Deputy Lay Presidents, Chancellor Archbishops, Bishops, Provincial Vice Lay Presidents, Diocesan Vice Lay Presidents, Grand patrons, All high national officers, Provincial officers, Diocesan officers, Presidents and Executives of women’s league, President and Executive members of ACYA, Brigade Commander and Executives of Lads/Lasses, Brigade President and Executives of TASCEF, Clergy delegates, Laity delegates, amongst others.
According to the Release, the 5-day event will feature the College of Bishop’s meeting as well as the Lay Presidents in council meeting on Tuesday 4th May and the Church’s General Committee Meeting on Wednesday, May 5.
The Primate will pay a courtesy visit to the Governor and/Traditional Rulers in Uyo on Thursday before addressing a Press Conference in Uyo the same day.
The event will be declared officially open by Governor Emanuel on Friday, May 7, following a charge by the Primate, while reports of the General Committee will be presented later the same day.
On Saturday, May 8, attendees will be treated to a Health Walk in the early hours of the day, while a Conference Session and a meeting of the Clergy and Laity will hold accordingly.
