Govenor Udom Emmanuel casting his vote

The Akwa Ibom State Governor Mr. Udom Emmanuel has queried the Nigeria Military over the detention of his Senior Special Assistant on Security Matters, Capt. Iniobong Ekong(rtd) by the 6th Brigade.

Governor Emmanuel who also questioned the intention of taking his aide to another brigade, wondered what happened to the second brigade in the state.

Speaking shortly after voting in his polling unit at Awa, Onna Local Government Area, the Governor disclosed that Capt. Ekong was not abducted, but was tricked into the barrack where he is being held back by the army.

” It is not that he was arrested, he was tricked into the barracks and he is kept there.

“ We are ready for election, we have all the process in place, if he had any issue, I think it would have been the police force to question him, why invite him to the 6th brigade, what happen to the brigade in the State.”

He appealed that the Security officers abide by the rule of Law, Noting that Nigeria is a Lawful Country with adequate rules of Law.
