DJ Ritzy Announces Essay Competition to Celebrate Girl Children

Foremost female disc jockey, thespian and girl-child advocate, DJ Ritzy (Precious Andrews) is set to dole out thousands of naira to empower brilliant female students drawn from secondary schools in Akwa Ibom State.

The project is in commemoration of the 2020 International Day of The Girl Child. Ritzy’s Entertainment is hosting the 2nd edition of her outreach program #GirlAlert, by organizing an essay competition for girls in secondary schools.

With this year’s theme being “My Voice, Our Equal Future, ” the essay topic; “The Girl Child: Lending a Voice for an Assured and Sustainable Future” is coined for a healthy intellectual contest among young girls.

The prizes (scholarship grants) for the first three winners are as follows:

1st Prize – N50,000

2nd Prize – N30,000

3rd Prize – N20,000

Twenty students will also receive consolation prizes.

Interested students are to send an essay of not more than 1000 – 1500 words to deadline for submission of entries is 14th October,2020 while prizes for the winners selected by the panel of judges will be presented on the 19th of October, 2020.
