With just 5 months into the year, 10 actors and actresses have exited the stage in an alarming sequence that makes one wonder if all is well.

Below are the 11 Nollywood stars who have died in 2019.
- Gbenga ‘Burger’ Akintunde
He died after complaining of malaria on Thursday, January 3 at the age of 47.
- Funmilayo ‘Ijewuru’ Ogunsola
The popular Yoruba actress and wife of the late movie star, Ishola ‘I show pepper’, died on Monday, February 4 in Ibadan at the age of 58.
- Adewale Olanrewaju
Popularly known as ‘I show Larry’, the actor and movie producer died on Monday, January 21 at the age of 36.
- Alfred Rotimi Popoola
The popular Yoruba actor died in Abeokuta on Thursday, February 27 at age 51.
- Abe Ishola Monsurat Olabisi
Olabisi’s death was announced after she was delivered of a baby girl. She died on Saturday, March 30 at age 39.
- Duke Oliver
Duke Oliver, also known as ‘LinChung’, died in April 2, in a car accident as he was returning from his mother’s burial in Lagos. He was aged 45.
- Ifeanyi Onyeabor
Oyeabor died while filming in Jos in April 19 (Good Friday). Some of his popular works include My Mother’s Heart, 5 Apostles, Darkest Knight, One Good Turn and many more. He was to release his latest movie, ‘True Legends’, later in the month before he passed on.
- Prince Dammy Eke
Prince is reported to have slumped and was confirmed dead -on-arrival at the hospital he was rushed to. He died on April 28 and was aged 41.
- Adio Majester
Known for his comical roles in the Yoruba movie industry, Majester passed away on Tuesday, May 7 in a hospital where he was receiving treatment. He was aged 50.
- Henry Okoro
He died as a result of injuries sustained in a fatal accident which occurred in May 11. He was both an actor, director and producer. He was aged 36.
- Eddie Ugboma
Eddie Ugboma also died on May 11 after battling a health challenge. He was aged 78.
