Three Kidnapped in Katsina Village Attack

Despite the death sentence placed on convicted kidnappers and robbers in Katsina State, three persons have been kidnapped in Danmusa Local Government Area of the State, on the midnight of Tuesday, May 27.

Eyewitnesses have it that the unknown bandits attacked the Dan-Ali settlement of Danmusa, shot sporadically into the air, kidnapped three persons and made away with money and valuables.

According to an eyewitness, the bandits attacked the village in dozens at about 1:25 am and kidnapped three people, including a woman.

“Although the woman, Hajiya Fatima was released, the other two were taken away”, the eyewitness disclosed.

Platinum.ng gathered that security operatives were contacted but could not be reached as at 5:30 a.m.

Efforts to reach the spokesman of the state police command, Gambo Isah, a Superintendent of Police (SP) proved abortive as calls made to his phone were not returned.

It would be recalled that Governor Masari of Katsina State had placed a death sentence on anyone found guilty of kidnap or cattle rustling in the State.

The State Governor, Governor Aminu Masari signed these into law on Friday, May 24, following his meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja.
