President Muhammadu Buhari’s current cabinet members will remain unchanged up until May 22, when the President would have a valedictory meeting with them.
This was made known by the Minister for Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, when he spoke to newsmen at the end of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in Abuja on Thursday, April 25.
The meeting which was chaired by the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, had the nation’s scribe, Mr. Boss Mustapha, in attendance; the Minister of Budget and National Planning, Senator Udo Udoma and other members of the President’s cabinet.
Platinum.ng gathered that the President was as at the time of the meeting, in Maiduguri to commission some projects, and thereafter, travelled to the United Kingdom on a private trip.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Interior, Lieutenant General Abdulrahman Dambazau (rtd), who was at the meeting, announced the government’s approval of N52b for the acquisition of modern technologies to monitor the nation’s borders.
He said that the “e-border solution would cover 86 border posts and all 1,400 illegal routes used for smuggling and cross-border crimes across the country”.
