… Says in Five years, Udom has made remarkable Strides in all Sector
As Akwa Ibom people, Nigerians, and the diaspora continue to celebrate the 54th birthday of Governor Udom Emmanuel, the Senator Representing Akwa Ibom South in the Red Chambers, Senator Akon Eyakenyi has stated that the Governor is a Super Achiever worthy of celebration.
Speaking with Journalists in Uyo, Senator Eyakenyi noted that at 54, Governor Udom has been of immense blessings, not only to Akwa Ibom people but Nigerians and humanity in general.

According to her, his emergence as Governor of Akwa Ibom State, which she described as divine, has ushered in unprecedented peace and a plethora of infrastructural and human capacity development.
Enumerating the Governor’s achievements in the past five years she said, “apart from the roads, the airport he inherited has been expanded to ensure that Ibom Air succeeds. Now Akwa Ibom Airport can hold International flights conveniently. The second runway which is constructed by him is almost completed; that is another area he has achieved”, she said.
Above all, Senator Eyakenyi described the Ibom Air Investment as a super Signature Project that would make Akwa Ibom people stand tall anywhere in the Nation.
“We can also talk about the international worship center… it is a great achievement, giving God the right of place in Akwa Ibom State”.
“What can I say about the 21 storey building? We have been demanding that Exxonmobil should relocate its headquarters to Akwa Ibom State. The Governor knows that ExxonMobil and other IOCs may not come to construct a building. He saw this need and looked into it. I am certain that by the time the building is completed, the story will change. Not only Mobil, other IOCs operating in the state will come and take offices in the building. Other investors will also take up offices”, she maintained.
She spoke of the Governor’s midas touch on the State’s economy, adding the economy will be positively affected and people employed massively as projects unfold.
Eyakenyi maintained that the Governor has also recorded remarkable impact in agricultural development, adding that Akwa Ibom people now plant crops that were hitherto seen as foreign such as tomatoes, cabbage and cucumbers. She recalled that those crops are now cultivated in large scale in Akwa Ibom State.
“Is it in education? renovation of schools? Is it in prompt payment of salaries, some governors will have come out to say that there is no money to pay WAEC fees for Akwa Ibom State student, but he has continued, even with lean resources that come in”, she observed.
“Also, the economy of the state is improving by the day, so I want to say that Governor Udom Emmanuel has done extremely very well. Akwa Ibom people should continue to stand by him and support him. That is what we owe the Governor in return”, she charged.
