Aniekan Uko Inspects Work Progress at Asan Ibesikpo

The member representing Ibesikpo Asutan State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Hon. Aniekan Uko has expressed satisfaction at the level of work reached at the ongoing constituency project in the area – Asan Ibesikpo.

The constituency project which was inspected after Plenary on Tuesday, May 14  is a 1000 capacity auditorium erected in the memory of Chief E.O. Eyo at Ediam, Ibesikpo Asutan local government area of the state.

Addressing the people at the site, Elder Aniekan Uko stated that the inspection was to ascertain the level of work done to enable the speedy completion of the project.

He also noted that the project, when completed, will foster unity in Ibesikpo Clan, and give people of the area a place where they can meet to take decisions on matters of concern to them. He however noted that the auditorium will be officially opened in a ceremony where other clans in Ibesikpo Asutan will be invited.

Uko who assured that the standard of the edifice will not be compromised for posterity’s sake, urged the host community to give the workers the needed support to complete the project.

Speaking to newsmen, the supervising Engineer of the project, Mr. Blessed Bassey Asuquo, expressed optimism that the project will be completed and handed over for commissioning in no time. He noted that the building, when completed, will be the best memorial square in the constituency, considering its design and the finishing.

Appreciating the Lawmaker for his magnanimity, the Village Head of Ediam, Chief John Thompson Udoh noted that the project was one in which people of the community will live to remember, adding that it has added to their developmental status. He also promised the cooperation of the community towards the completion of the project.
