All is now set for the official commissioning of a multi-Million Naira newly constructed Nigerian Immigration Service, Forward Operation Base attracted by the Executive Chairman of Nsit Ibom Local Government Area, Hon. Eric Akpan to Afaha Offiong, the local government headquarters.
The Afaha Offiong Forward Operation Base which is part of the Boarder Management Reforms embarked upon by the service will be commissioned on Thursday, March 19, 2020 by 11.00 am.
Afaha Offiong Forward Operation Base, like other FOBs established by the service will be the 12th in the entire country and is equipped with well-furnished accommodation comprising a Radio communication room, quarter guard, clinic, cafeteria, chapel, mosque and control towers for operatives to be able to maintain 24/7 patrol surveillance activities along the nation’s boarder.
Consequently, Hon. Eric Akpan invites the member representing Nsit Ibom State Constituency in the State House of Assembly; the executive and the Legislature arms of the council, past and present political office holders, political leader of the Local Government as well as ward political leaders, Head of local government service and council staff, chapter Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the entire party structure, Paramount Ruler and members of Nsit Ibom traditional rulers council, Afaha Offiong village Head and council members, women, Students’, youths, Clergymen, Security operatives; to witness the epoch making ceremony.
