Akwa United midfielder and Nigeria’s U23 International, Michael Ibe, has joined Jordan Division 1 club Al-karmel SC on a two-year deal.

Speaking after his unveiling on Sunday, the former Go Round FC and Akwa United midfield maestro thanked God for making his dream come true.

“I thank God for my move to Al-Karmel Sc, I thank everybody that has been involved, Akwa United, Akwa Ibom state and my fans for the support.”

Ibe won the 2017 Aiteo Cup with Akwa United and looks forward to a new chapter in his life.

The midfielder said he is in Jordan to win league for Al-Karmel.

“I’m here to continue the work. My target for my new team is for me to do my best and to help the team win the league this season and by God’s grace it will come to pass.”

Al-Karmel is in the Jordan 1st Division and will kick-start their new season on the 11th of February against Al-Yarmouk.

He now joins the likes of Gabriel Okechukwu, Ariwachukwu Emmanuel, Ifeanyi Ifeanyi and Ezekiel Bassey who have made moves to foreign clubs this season from Akwa United.
