The Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Charles Udo, on Monday, April 29, paid a visit to the Akwa Ibom Employment and Enterprise Scheme (AKEES) Integrated Commercial Farm in Ekeya, Okobo.
He was in the company of the AKEES Coordinator, Elder Ufot Ebong and Mr. Langwa Brezhnev, the Farm Manager.



Together, they inspected some parts of the 100 hectares farmland where 30 hectares of it have been cultivated.

Of the cultivated 30 hectares, 7 hectares have Sweet corn plantations, Dwarf paw-paw plantations, fish ponds and a piggery.
The Information Boss was visibly impressed with the number of workers in the farm and the pace of work done.
He commended their efforts and charged them to maintain the dignity of their labour which he said, would result in the boost of the state’s economy in no time.
