HCS Commends Gov. Udom on Payment of April Salary with the new Minimum Wage Scale

Against the fears that, April salaries may not be paid, as workers were not at work most part of the month, Governor Udom Emmanuel has lived above board by not only paying the April Salaries but paying with complete allowances using the new minimum wage scale.

In his usual magnanimous disposition towards workers, the Governor has ensured that, the salaries come early enough, today, being 24th April, to help cushion the effect of the ongoing lockdown on workers in the state.

Reacting to this development, the Head of Civil Service, Elder Effiong Essien, has, on behalf of the entire workers, thanked the Governor, Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel, for this demonstration of sincere concern for the welfare of his workforce.

Elder Effiong Essien who was full of praises to Governor Udom Emmanuel for this timely payment of the April, 2020 salary as he addressed the Press on the issue remarked that the salary aside stimulating the state’s economy, will, in no small measure, ease the financial difficulties faced by workers.

The Head of Civil Service,  thanked God for His grace upon the state and workers and called on workers not to relent in their dedication to duty and support to Governor Emmanuel in reciprocation of his kind gesture which will go a long way in assisting the Governor to achieve  his Completion Agenda.

Elder Essien used the avenue to call on workers to obey the government’s stay-at-home directives as well as keep to the preventive measures on COVID-19, to help put an end to the global pandemic.
