A youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ismaila Agba, has been reportedly killed in a gunfire exchange in the Ayingba area of Dekina Local Government, Kogi State, on Sunday, May 5.
Confirming the incident, the Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Williams Aya, disclosed that the deceased died, while a certain Alhassan Idoko sustained injury from the attack.
Eyewitnesses report that the killing of Agba and the reason for the gunfire exchange was more political than criminal in the buildup to the forthcoming governorship election in the state.
